FOCUS 2023 FAQs

Q. What are the Focus dates?
A: Thursday 27th-30th July 2023
The full programme and main celebrations start on the evening of Thursday 27th July and finish on the evening of Sunday 30th July 2022. Guests will need to leave site by 10am on Monday 31st July 2023.

Q. How and where do I register for Focus?
A: saint.church/focus – click BOOK NOW and follow the steps. Put SAINT down as your church community.

Q. I can’t afford to go. What should I do?
A: Not a problem. There are three options. 1. You can serve on a Focus team and get a reduced ticket. 2. You can apply for a bursary – email us at hello@saint.church and we’ll be in touch. 3. Would a payment plan help? If so, email us at hello@saint.church and we’ll be in touch.

Q. What is the address?
A:  Newark Showground, Newark, England NG24 2NY GB

Q. How do I get there?
A: We’ll be travelling as a church via coaches, which you can book here.
You can make your own way there if you’d like.
Travel/Transport options:
By Car
You can drive there and there is parking on site.
By Train
Kings Cross to Newark Northgate, then T1 bus from Lincoln Street to Woodlands, followed by 24 minute walk to the site.

Q: How do I eat onsite:
Catering:
SAINT will be offering a catering package at Focus, which will include breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can book onto that here. There are lots of options onsite including hot meals and supplies for camping. In The Village, there will be a mix of coffee stalls, light snack stalls, smoothie stalls and full meal stalls.
You will need to bring crockery, a mug, tea towel and cutlery with you.

Q: Can I shower if I am staying onsite?:
A: There will be several toilet and shower blocks, fresh water points and washing-up areas across the site and will be clearly marked on the site map.

 

Q: What do I need to take? Do I need a tent? Do I take bedding?:

Q: Does my ticket cost cover accommodation.
A: It covers a camping pitch but you need to bring your own tent and camping equipment.

Accommodation:
There are different pitch charges, depending on which accommodation option you go for. All of these can be booked and paid for at the same time as booking your event ticket.
There is a £150 caravan pitch fee per caravan if you are bringing your own caravan or motorhome to site, but not requiring an electrical hook-up.
There is a £300 electric pitch fee per tent/caravan/motorhome if you require an electrical hook-up.

Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: Unfortunately, no pets are allowed on site.

Q: What does my ticket include?
A: A full 4-day event including main sessions, labs, speakers, sports, activities, pitch to camp on.

Q: What does a typical day at Focus look like? 
A: Below is a rough outline of what you can expect:
