FLORISTRY COURSE

Lighthouse has an exciting new opportunity for six people to embark on a fully paid six week floristry employability programme based in Hackney Central.

This course is designed for people who are interested in a career in floristry and are overcoming significant challenges and barriers to employment but are looking to re-enter the world of work. The carefully curated course will provide both practical floristry skills, holistic care as well as tools to equip and empower the attendees of the course.

Details:

The course starts in March 2023 at lunchtime on Tuesdays. It covers a wide range of floristry techniques including bouquets, buttonholes, centrepiece arrangements, wreaths and finish with a large scale installation built as a team. Attendees’ work will be photographed each week to form a portfolio by the end of the course and they will get to keep their creations.

Criteria:

  • Must be aged 18-50
  • Applying for this programme is a commitment to learning a new skill and finding employment making attendance essential
  • The application form must be filled out
