OUR
HERITAGE

With thanks to support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, St John at Hackney has undergone a multi-million pound restoration, restoring the church building, bringing our rich history to life, and making our spaces accessible to a wide range of new visitors, from Hackney and beyond. There’s loads to get involved with, so click on the links below to find out what’s going on.

THE SPACE BETWEEN

Throughout the restoration of St John at Hackney Church, a group of volunteer photographers, led by Katrina Lawson Johnston, painstakingly documented the work, as the church was made new. The result is an online exhibition, the space between.
